2. Estimate Wi-Fi extenders
Extenders are estimated from home size or room count, floors, and wall material. Each Wi-Fi extender adds $3.50 per month.
A router typically covers about 1,000 to 1,500 square feet on its own.
If square footage is not available, we estimate using about one extender for every two rooms beyond the router's base coverage.
Multi-level homes are more likely to need help carrying signal between floors.
